LabGear Australia are proudly supporting the clean up after the Townsville floods
LabGear Australia are proud to be supporting the Australian charity Orange Sky with the aftermath of the Townsville Flooding. We were able to donate a large amount of gloves to protect the Orange Sky volunteers and those in need during the ongoing clean up. The ‘one-in-100 year’ flood disaster in Townsville has affected thousands of homes and left so many people without a roof over their head.
Orange Sky has been able to help provide assistance to locals – many whom have become temporarily homeless through the recent weather event. Their team of local volunteers and staff have done more than 4000 kg of laundry, helping to restore just a little bit of normality to people’s lives. Orange Sky operates 230 shifts across 22 locations every week around Australia, any leftover donated gloves will be distributed to these locations for the volunteers to use whilst continuing to help those less fortunate. We are proud that we could play a small part in helping the Townsville community during the long road to recovery.
